Books Abound is an independent bookstore located in Houston, Texas, United States, selling new and used printed books.

By placing an order on our website, you agree to the cancellation terms described below.

Order Cancellation by Customer

Customers may request to cancel an order only before it has been processed or shipped.

  • Orders are fulfilled and shipped from Houston, Texas, United States.
  • Orders are processed within 1–2 business days (Monday–Saturday)
  • Our order cut-off time is 05:00 PM (CT)
  • Cancellation requests must be submitted before the order enters processing or shipment preparation.

Once an order has entered processing or has been shipped, cancellation may no longer be possibleand must instead be handled through our return process.

How to Request a Cancellation

To request an order cancellation, please contact our customer service team immediately with your order details.

We will make every effort to accommodate your request if the order has not yet been processed.

Orders That Cannot Be Canceled

Orders cannot be canceled if:

  • The order has already been processed
  • The order has been shipped
  • The order is in transit

After delivery, any issues must be handled in accordance with our Return and Refund Policy.

Cancellation by Books Abound

Books Abound reserves the right to cancel any order at our discretion, including but not limited to:

  • Payment issues or failed transactions
  • Suspected fraudulent activity
  • Pricing or inventory errors

If an order is canceled by us, any payment received will be fully refunded to the original payment method.

Refunds for Canceled Orders

  • Approved cancellations will be refunded to the original payment method
  • Refunds for approved cancellations are processed within 7 business days after cancellation confirmation.
  • Depending on your bank or card issuer, additional time may be required for the refund to appear on your account

Shipping and Cancellation

Once an order has been shipped:

  • Cancellation is no longer possible
  • Customers must follow the return process after delivery
  • Return shipping costs may apply if the return is due to a customer ordering error.
